President Donald Trump is now polling worse on jobs and employment than former President Joe Biden at the end of his term, according to CNN data analyst Harry Enten.
In a video on X , Enten presented data from Reuters/Ipsos from December 2024 to August 2025. As of August, Trump’s net approval on jobs and the economy is ‐13, a 22-point slide from January, according to the data. In comparison, Biden’s net approval on this issue was -8 in December 2024.
“Joe Biden, of course, was in the basement and yet Donald Trump is even lower down than him,” Enten said. “You can barely get an elevator that goes down that low.”
