CHICAGO — On Monday, The Department of Homeland Security announced its launching an immigration crackdown in Chicago called “Operation: Midway Blitz.”

According to the post on X, the Immigration and Custom Enforcement operation will “target the criminal illegal aliens who flocked to Chicago and Illinois.”

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson says the city has not received any formal notice of increased immigration enforcement under the Trump Administration.
