BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — A man in Bismarck has agreed to plead guilty to a violent encounter that severely injured another man.

Jeremy Krueger-Grinnell was arrested for an incident that happened in August of last year.

Investigators say it happened when Krueger-Grinnell was out on bond for less than four hours, then assaulted a woman and severely beat a neighbor who tried to intervene.

Krueger-Grinnell was facing 10 felony charges, which included attempted murder. But on Friday, he agreed to an amended plea in exchange for that charge being dismissed.

He is now undergoing a pre-sentence investigation, and a judge ordered that he continue to be held without bond.

Krueger-Grinnell has been in jail since the incident happened. His sentencing is scheduled for December 22nd.
