PHILADELPHIA — Mets right-hander Tylor Megill is likely done for the season.
Ahead of Monday’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies , Mets manager Carlos Mendoza informed reporters that Megill has been “shut down” again.
“(He) felt some tightness yesterday again on the secondary pitches,” Mendoza said. “He’s back in New York getting imaging. He’s shut down from throwing, and we’re waiting to see what we’re dealing with.”
Megill first landed on the injured list on June 15 with an elbow sprain. He has experienced a few setbacks along the way, which have delayed his return.
This latest setback comes after he’s made four rehab starts in Triple-A, where he’s allowed 11 runs in 15 innings, a 6.60 ERA.
