A 48-year-old Toronto man has been charged with murder after a young woman was found slain in a vehicle near High Park last Friday.

Toronto Police said officers responded to a “medical call” in the Glenlake-High Park Aves. area, northwest of Keele and Bloor Sts., shortly before 5 p.m.

Cops said that officers and paramedics found the injured woman inside a vehicle. She was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

The victim was identified by police on Saturday as Serenity Brown, 21, of Toronto.

On Monday, police said Trinel Thornhill was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

This was the city’s 30th homicide of the year.
