ROCHESTER, Minn.- The Rochester City Council is set to review the state of the housing market between 2020-2025 and projections for the next decade.

According to the Coalition for Rochester Area Housing there has been a lot of progress made in attracting new developers to Rochester and Olmsted County and over 5,000 new affordable apartment units have been built in that time.

JoMarie Morris says even with that progress there is still a lot of work to do.

"I think it's really shown that the path the coalition is on, which includes really stabilizing home ownership, increasing access for rental housing and really tapping into innovative housing solutions, it's really making progress. It's exciting to see, we have more work to do," Morris said.
