LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A partnership between non-profit Native American public broadcaster, Vision Maker Media, and the Ross Theater at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has been going strong for decades. For the last two years, the theater hosts a monthly showing of Native American films.

Vision Maker Media, located in Lincoln, has archives of nearly 50 years of Native American produced programming and films. Every second Monday of the month, the theater showcases a film or short films provided by the company.

The films being shown on Monday were “Across the Creek” and “Finding Refuge.” Both short films focus on the effects colonialism had on native people and renewing pride and reclaiming their stories and culture.
