A public hearing for a proposed development in the Calgary community of Springbank Hill is still going ahead on Tuesday after a judge ruled against a group of concerned citizens who are opposed to new townhomes in the community.
The residents were seeking a delay in a vote over a proposed development project from Augusta Villas to build 42 luxury townhouse units at 30 Elveden Drive SW. A Calgary judge shot down the ask on Monday, deferring to a public vote.
The group tells CityNews they have not had proper representation for a while, since they’ve been without a councillor in Ward 6 since last year.
