TUSCALOOSA, Ala. ( WBRC ) - An agency that supports people with terminal illnesses has some good news to share.
Hospice of West Alabama now has a brand-new non-emergency transport vehicle, a goal that the agency has been working towards for years.
Representatives with Hospice of West Alabama say the acquisition of the vehicle became possible because of public support, including donations and community fundraisers. These fundraisers and donations paid in-full for the $75,000 Toyota Sienna van.
Hospice of West Alabama serves a seven county area, as well as private homes. The work they do includes making someone’s end of life experience as good as it can be.
