SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- A house fire displaced four people in Syracuse on Monday, September 8.

At 3:12 p.m., Syracuse firefighters were alerted by the Onondaga County 911 Center to a reported fire at 1107 Park St.

Crews from Station 2 on Lodi Street arrived on scene in less than three minutes and found a 2 1/2-story house with smoke coming from the front wall and attic.

Engine 2 began stretching a hose line to the front door while other teams entered the home to search for victims. A Signal "99" was transmitted, indicating a working fire.

Firefighters opened the walls on the first floor to locate the fire, which was found within the walls and had extended into the attic.

The fire was knocked down within 10 minutes and put out after 20 minutes.
