CULLMAN, Ala. ( WBRC ) - A West Point High School student is recovering from non-life threatening injuries after being struck by a car while using a crosswalk at school.
According to Cullman County Schools, around 2:50 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, the student was using the crosswalk on Cullman County Road 1141, which runs between West Point High School and the football field.
Cullman County Schools Superintendent Dr. Shane Barnette said that the adult driving the vehicle which hit the student did not see the student coming towards the crosswalk.
Cullman County Schools say the student was alert after the incident and Barnette added that the student only had a few scratches.
