Olivia Passero scored two goals, including the game-winner, to lead Hawthorne to a 3-2 victory over Becton in East Rutherford.
After Becton’s Caylee Carola opened the scoring off an assist from Shania Healy, Passero tied it up for Hawthorne late in the first half.
Becton regained the lead early in the second half on a goal by Madisyn Muniz. But Hawthorne responded with two unanswered goals - the equalizer from Sophia Perez and the go-ahead score from Passero, her second of the game.
Hawthorne (2-0) outshot Becton (1-2) 11-8 in the contest.
Carola led Becton with a goal and an assist for 2 points. Healy and Muniz each added an assist.
