Smooth FM has retained its position as Sydney’s No.1 radio station in the fifth ratings survey of the year, despite 2GB closing the gap between the two stations.
Smooth FM attracted 11.8 per cent of the available audience – down 0.5 percentage points from the previous survey – to remain Sydney’s most listened to radio station. 2GB also saw a dip, dropping 0.2 percentage points to 11.4, an improved result compared to survey four, which saw the broadcaster drop two whole points to 11.6 per cent. Nine is the owner of 2GB and this masthead.
While just 0.4 percentage points divide Smooth (11.8) and 2GB (11.4), KIIS continues to nip at their heels.
In the previous survey, the station climbed 1.1 points to an audience share of 10.4 per cent. KIIS has improved on that result once more in survey
