Looking into the week, a stationary front will loiter offshore, which will keep unsettled conditions along the coast. Weak lows moving along the boundary Tuesday into Wednesday bring the best chance for a few showers near the Crystal Coast and Outer Banks, with inland areas staying mostly dry.

By Thursday and Friday, high pressure builds in again, reinforcing the dry, fall-like conditions. Next weekend remains uncertain, as some guidance hints at a weak coastal low developing off the Southeast coast, though confidence in its track and impact is low.
