Hard Rock Casino Rockford raked in $147.3 million in its first full year of operations at its 175,000-square-foot permanent location , more than doubling the annual revenue and taxes it had generated at its temporary spot.

Hard Rock opened its doors Aug. 29, 2024, at 7801 E. State St. and there are now nearly 1,000 employees with an annual payroll of $40 million, Hard Rock Casino Rockford President Geno Iafrate said.

Counting visitors to both the temporary casino and the permanent location, the casino which boasts 67,000-square-feet of gaming, welcomed its 3 millionth guest on Aug. 15, during its 815 Day celebration, Iafrate said.
