The Girlfriend, a thrilling series directed by and starring Robin Wright , is set to premiere on Prime Video on 10 September.

Wright, an American actress, producer, and director, has had a successful career spanning several decades, earning her numerous accolades including a Golden Globe Award.

She first gained recognition for her role as Kelly Capwell in the NBC soap Santa Barbara during the 80s, before transitioning into film.

Her most notable roles include The Princess Bride and Forrest Gump, the latter of which earned her a nomination for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress.
