An investigation is underway in Philadelphia's East Falls neighborhood after police said a woman was stabbed several times outside of a home overnight.

According to police, officers responded to Abbotsford's Homes on Defense Terrace around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, after receiving a 911 call.

Police said the woman was in critical condition before she was rushed to the hospital. She is now listed in stable condition.

The motive behind the attack is unknown and police said they are still looking for the suspect involved.
