Rider accounts of the Transit Center on 60 St. Paul St. in Rochester tend to vary widely. Regular 16 Route rider Makayla M. described the facility as the “ghetto” and said RTS buses feel unsafe and filled with addicts.

Another rider, Ahmora Kanyah, recalled a day when security had to both check in on a man asleep inside and break up a fight across the hall. By contrast, 42-year-old Jennifer Davis-Jones said she’s never felt unsafe in her three decades of riding the bus, and Reconnect Rochester Bus Work Chair Jason Partyka echoed this sentiment.
