Pitt volleyball standout Bre Kelley was awarded the ACC Defensive Player of the Week honor, announced Monday by the conference office. She was instrumental in Pitt's three wins last week, including a 3-0 sweep against then-No. 7 Arizona State.
Kelley averaged 2.10 blocks per set and 1.90 kills per set while hitting .429. She registered a match-high seven blocks in the 3-0 sweep against Arizona State and added four kills. Kelley led Pitt to another sweep against Pepperdine and contributed six kills and a match-high five blocks while hitting .417. She concluded the weekend recording a season best nine blocks and nine kills in the win against Jacksonville on a .615 clip.
