HOLDINGFORD — Liam Zins paced the Pequot Lakes Patriot boys to a first-place finish Thursday, Sept. 4, at the Holdingford Invite.
He ran a fourth-place time of 17:55.6.
James Johnson (sixth), Connor Jansen (seventh), Gus Mckenna (eighth), Oliver Mckenna (11th) and Henry Zell (12th) helped Pequot Lakes secure the win.
"As a team this was our best performance of the year so far," Coach Jeff Brever said, noting the boys varsity team placed six runners in the top 12. "With the weather being rainy and cold, the team started out conservative for the first mile and then worked together to make their way to the front of the race. The team has been working hard in practice and I feel like (Sept. 4) was a result of their hard work."
