As a recently retired teacher with over 30 years in the classroom, I’ve dedicated my life to advocating for children’s well-being. That’s why I’m deeply concerned by Rep. Pete Stauber’s voting record, which consistently fails to support children and families in our district.

For example, Stauber supported an amendment to a bill that included cutting $6 million from Head Start, a program vital to early learning for low-income children. He also voted against the Build Back Better Act, which would have expanded the child tax credit and invested in early education, offering relief many Minnesota families need. And when families faced a dangerous infant-formula shortage, Stauber voted against a measure to improve safety and distribution.
