HARRISBURG, Pa. – A temporary fix for public mass transit pains experienced in greater Philadelphia was approved Monday by Gov. Josh Shapiro, with the governor directing PennDOT to allow up to $394 million in capital improvement funds to be used to supplement the costs of daily operations.
The move isn’t coupled with a budget deal. Pennsylvania’s general fund budget remains unresolved more than two months beyond the statutory deadline of June 30. ×
