(KIMT) -- High temperatures will be slightly lower Tuesday with increased clouds being the dominant force in the forecast. Expect the mercury to peak in the low 70s.

Breezy south winds will keep humidity values at a higher level than recent days. Dew points will once again reach for the low to mid 60s Tuesday. Expect south winds to gust up to 30 MPH at times, especially in the afternoon.

A few spotty thunderstorms will develop later in the afternoon/evening as a shortwave passes overhead, bringing that needed upper level support for storms to ignite.
