Construction on the Mouse River Enhanced Flood Protection Project will continue into the fall. The protection plan began in 2011 after the Mouse River flooded its banks, affecting thousands of homes in Minot. Construction officially started in 2018 and remains ongoing. In recent months, work on phases six and seven has impacted various areas of the community. Roosevelt Park will close for the rest of the season starting Monday, including the pickleball courts and park entrance. Jarrod Olson with the Minot Parks District says the closure will help keep people safe and speed up construction so crews can resume work in the spring. The 2011 flood brought a record flow of 27,400 cubic feet per second, affe
