The first day of fall is a couple weeks away (13 days, but who's counting?), and SoCal is already getting a taste of autumn this week as temperatures will drop into the 80s and even the 70s in some places.

Wake up to morning clouds and foggy conditions closer to the coast, but come this afternoon, the clouds will part for some sunshine.

Inland and valley areas will feel that relief. Highs for L.A. County valleys and the Inland Empire will stay mostly in the mid-80s, with the warmest areas reaching up to 88 degrees.

For L.A. County beaches, temperatures will stay in the low to mid-70s, and areas around downtown L.A. will warm up to 81 degrees.

The Orange County coast will see similar temperatures, with highs up to 78 degrees and up to 80 degrees for inland areas.
