So I realize many of you did not watch the Cubs’ 4-1 loss to the Braves because you were instead watching the Bears … blow a fourth-quarter lead to the Vikings. (Did that feel familiar?)
Thus I am here to recap the Cubs’ third straight loss for you.
Honestly, you didn’t miss much.
Shōta Imanaga had a weird first inning after the Cubs went out 1-2-3 in the top of the inning. Imanaga retired the first two Braves easily on just seven pitches. After that? Home run (by Ozzie Albies, stop pitching to this guy, he’s 7-for-16 with three home runs against the Cubs this year and in his career he’s batting .395/.449/.707 with 11 home runs in 41 games against the Cubs), single, double, single, and those four hits came on 10 subsequent pitches. It’s 3-0 Braves in an instant.
