HOUSTON (KIAH) — Texas schools are now benefiting from a huge increase in the available bilingual and multicultural library books. Yesterday marked a special occasion as H-E-B and the Kendra Scott Foundation launched the first of six "Yellow Libraries" within Title One elementary schools.

The first library is located at Camino Real Elementary in Dale, Texas, a community in southeast of Austin. This initiative, the Kendra Scott's Yellow Library Initiative, launched in 2022 and has already made a positive impact by providing books to schools across the nation.

Camino Real Elementary was the fortunate recipient of over 250 new books, a vibrant yellow bookshelf, and a valuable literacy grant.
