The Monday Night game between the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears had just about everything.

Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season concluded with an NFC North showdown between Caleb Williams and JJ McCarthy, and the two young quarterbacks couldn’t have had two very different halves.

Williams had quite the rookie campaign as the first overall pick in last year’s NFL Draft, but Chicago lost a lot. Coming into 2025, the questions had already begun, with an NFL insider pointing to him possibly having a learning disability.

He showed early on that he knows football quite well, as he started the contest throwing 10 for 10 from the field. However, his good play still couldn’t separate much from the Vikings as their defense kept them in the game.
