NICHOLS, N.Y. (WETM) — One man died over the weekend after an early-morning crash in the Town of Nichols on Saturday, according to information from New York State Police.

Donald Lynn Archibald, 40, of Sayre, died at the scene of a motorcycle crash on South Main Street in Nichols around 1 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, troopers said.

It was learned that only Archibald's vehicle was involved when he was riding on South Main Street and went off the road for an unknown reason. Troopers said the bike hit a utility pole off the road, and Archibald was declared dead at the scene.
