The suede jacket resurgence started (as many of these things do) with Prada with its autumn/ winter 2023 show, as throughout the collection chestnut oversized suede blazers were paired with white skirts, from minis to full midi-skirts. Stripped of all fringing and embellishment, Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada repositioned the suede jacket as an elevated staple, removing it of all Woodstock hippie connotations, setting the tone for what was to come. A suede button-down featured in the spring/summer 2025, confirming this is a jacket that shoes no style of slowing down.
