Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative employees raised more than $85,000 as part of their Employee Days of Giving Campaign to raise funds for local nonprofits.

The campaign raised $87,357, exceeding their $85,000 goal in celebration of the electric cooperative’s 85th anniversary. The total includes one-time gifts or contributions of 12 working hours of pay and benefits local charities, including: • MARYS House: Provides emergency shelter and resources for victims of domestic violence. • Service Dogs for Veterans: A training program for veterans to train their own service dog to help them cope with PTSD. • Tribble Center: Improves the lives of people with disabilities and special needs through services that promote independence and inclusion. • United Way of Anderson, Oconee and Pickens:
