Pickens County Habitat for Humanity will hold its annual Have a Heart dinner Sept. 25 to benefit the nonprofit operation.
The dinner will begin at 6 p.m. at the historic Hampton House in downtown Pickens. Visit pickenshabitat.charityproud.org/EventRegistration/Index/23784 to reserve a seat.
“This year’s dinner is about speaking the truth in love,” says Tamara Dourney, executive director of Pickens County Habitat for Humanity in a released statement. “We’ll gather to celebrate the homes we’ve built, the lives changed and the volunteers who make it possible. But we also need to be honest. This work is getting harder to sustain. If we want to keep building, we need this community to stand with us. Every gift makes a real difference.”
Pickens County Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1981.
