(Bloomberg) — Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. said it’s suspending store remodels as the restaurant chain continues to walk back planned changes such as a new logo that sent its shares crashing.

“If your restaurant hasn’t been remodeled, you don’t need to worry, it won’t be,” the company said in a statement Tuesday on its website. Cracker Barrel said it had tested a new store design in only four out of its 660 locations.

The company caught flack after unveiling a new logo that streamlined the font and removed an overalls-clad man known as Uncle Herschel. Critics accused the chain of erasing traditional elements seen as linked to American culture. Cracker Barrel eventually apologized and restored the old emblem.
