Carolina Precision Fibers ACP LLC, based in the Wilkes County community of Ronda, has been sold to a national building insulation installation company, according to a news release Monday.

Terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

Carolina Precision (CPF), founded in 1990 , manufactures cellulose-based insulation for homes, hydromulch for erosion control and composite materials used in industrial applications.

The company has annual revenue of more than $20 million with a service area in the Northeast, Midwest, mid-Atlantic and Southeast. The companies could not be immediately reached for comment on how Carolina Precision's operations and its workforce of between 25 and 30 are affected by the sale.

Installed Building Products Inc., based in Columbus, Ohio, is the buyer.
