PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — Spending time with your grandparents is always Something Good, and students at a West Valley elementary school spent Tuesday morning doing just that.

Sunset Heights Elementary School students celebrated National Grandparents Day by eating breakfast with their grandparents or simply someone “that is grand,” said Principal Greg Kaatz.

The annual tradition gives students time to spend with their loved ones before the school day.

“It’s just a really special time, and we’re happy to share it with people that are important to our students,” Kaatz said.
