Zinedine Zidane will not succeed Jose Mourinho as Fenerbahce manager.

Instead, the Turkish giants are set to appoint Domenico Tedesco as their new boss.

Zidane had been linked with the vacant role by several media outlets in Turkey.

However, he is understood to be holding out to replace Didier Deschamps as France manager after the 2026 World Cup.

Deschamps' current contract is set to expire after the tournament in Canada, Mexico and the USA.

The World Cup winner has been in charge of Les Bleus for 13 years, having been appointed following Euro 2012.

Zidane's interest in the role comes after reports in December that the national team and a return to Real Madrid were the only jobs he would consider .
