BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) - The Williston Basin International Airport saw record-breaking passenger traffic this summer, according to Airport Director Anthony Dudas in a statement obtained by KX News.

July set a new record with 9,730 passengers, supported by a 15.7% increase in available seats after United Airlines added a fifth daily departure.

August followed with 9,597 passengers, making it the second busiest August in the airport’s history and a 9.7% increase over the same month last year. Dudas said the growth was driven by Delta Air Lines adding a third daily flight to Minneapolis and United maintaining five daily flights to Denver.

Year-to-date, passenger traffic is up 8.1% and is on pace to make 2025 the second busiest year ever for the airport.
