ALEXANDRIA, Va. (DC News Now) -- A Fairfax man could face up to 10 years in prison after he threatened multiple Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and United States Postal Service employees.

Kenneth R. Woodard, 57, pleaded guilty on Monday, Sept. 8, to making threatening communications over interstate commerce and threatening to kill a federal official.

On April 29, Woodard called the VA crisis line, demanding to be connected to a VA police officer at the hospital, with whom he had interacted earlier in the day. Woodard stated he was on the way to the hospital with a gun to kill the officer.

Two weeks later, on May 13, Woodard called the USPS customer service and spoke with three different employees over three calls about a package he was waiting for.
