It's a time of transition for the Bristol Warren Education Foundation as some of the old guard steps aside, including current chairperson Darcy DaCosta, while some relative newcomers, like her expected successor Jane Govednik, take the reins.

After spending 15 years with the organization, DaCosta plans to give up the gavel later in this month, September 17, at the next meeting of the BWEF, which is well into its second decade of existence upon its creation as the Kickemuit Education Foundation.

DaCosta, like her two children, has "aged out" in her words, as both have now finished their stays in the Bristol Warren school system.
