MEDINA, Ohio (WOIO) - An actor with previous roles in major movie franchises like “Star Trek” and “Wonder Woman” is in Medina for his next role.

According to the film’s Ohio Movie Tax Application, the movie “Carousel,” starring Chris Pine, Alison Brie, and Abby Ryder Forston is filming in the city.

Pine is an Emmy-nominated actor who also has roles in “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” “The Princess Diaries” franchise, and “Don’t Worry Darling.”

Brie is known for her television roles in “Community” and “GLOW.”

The entire movie will be shot in Ohio and the production office for the film is in Medina, according to the tax document.

The tax document said the film hired six Ohio residents and four non-Ohio residents.
