TURNER, Maine — A 28-year-old Auburn woman was killed Tuesday morning in a head-on crash on Route 4 in Turner, according to the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said Jacqueline Langevin was driving a Volvo station wagon around 9:56 a.m. when her car crossed the centerline and struck a FedEx delivery truck near SR1 Recreation. Langevin was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver, a 37-year-old man from Auburn, was taken to Central Maine Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The crash shut down Auburn Road, also known as Route 4, for about four and a half hours while deputies investigated with assistance from the Maine State Police Commercial Enforcement Unit. Turner Fire & Rescue also responded.
