A 48-year-old St. Catharines man has been linked to a series of incidents in Niagara over the summer months involving rocks being thrown at vehicles from highway overpasses.

Between June and August, Ontario Provincial Police received multiple reports of rocks being tossed from the side of a road or from overpasses.

The incidents occurred on Highway 406 between Westchester Avenue and Fourth Avenue in St. Catharines, on the QEW near Mountain Road in Niagara Falls, and Highway 58 near Pine Street in Thorold.

The accused is charged with nine counts of mischief endangering life.
