OWEGO, N.Y. (WETM) — The aerospace and defense manufacturer Lockheed Martin's Owego facility will see some new improvements in the coming years, after the facility was granted a large defense contract from the US Air Force.
The announcement of a $56 million defense contract for Lockheed Martin's Owego facility came on Tuesday, Sept. 9, from Congressman Nick Langworthy's office.
The announcement said that the US Air Force is awarding the facility with $56,406,399 in contract funding to support the procurement of B-2 stealth bomber countermeasure receivers.
The project is expected to be completed in Owego by August 31, 2031.
