Penn State Behrend gave an update on plans for a multimillion-dollar facility, giving the public a sneak peek into the final product.

Investors, government representatives and university officials gathered at Penn State Behrend's Knowledge Center on Tuesday to give a funding update on the $21 million Center for Manufacturing Competitiveness project.

For the first time, the university shared tentative renderings of the building that's set to be built in Knowledge Park.

One university official said that the facility will be research-focused and will accommodate both students and manufacturers.
