JACKSON COUNTY, MI –Nearly all of the more than 60 dogs rescued by the Jackson County Animal Shelter have been adopted.
Nearly three weeks ago, the Jackson County Animal Shelter helped remove around 80 dogs from a Wayne County home , taking in 65 of them. All but one of these dogs have since been placed in homes, Shelter Director Lydia Sattler said.
She attributed this quick adoption to the shelter’s large audience on social media for getting the word out.
“Our followers are really good about sharing our posts to help more animals find homes or whatever their needs may be,” Sattler said. “It’s kind of what I mentioned in that original post, just such great teamwork.”
