SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Police arrested a wanted 19-year-old Springfield man on gun and drug trafficking charges following a months-long investigation.

On August 10, Domanyck Nieves was pulled over on I-91 in Whately, only to drive away and go 115 miles per hour. He was eventually stopped down the highway in West Springfield, but he and a 16-year-old passenger ran.

The teen was caught and police seized ammunition, marijuana, crack, and fentanyl from the car.

Nieves was then arrested Monday afternoon at his home on Water Street in Indian Orchard on several charges.
