BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) - Celines Gomez-Rivera, of Bismarck, pleaded guilty Tuesday to distribution of a controlled substance resulting in death or injury, a Class A felony.
According to the affidavit obtained by KX News, Gomez-Rivera delivered a controlled substance to a minor, who later overdosed after consuming it.
Bismarck police responded and observed the minor exhibiting signs of opioid overdose, including ineffective/agonal breathing, pinpoint/constricted pupils, and bluish lips.
The responding officers administered two doses of Narcan, after which the child regained consciousness. They were then transported to a local hospital.
Gomez-Rivera now has a sentencing date set for December 22.
