CORBIN — Local author and storyteller Ronnie Deaton welcomed readers to a book signing at the Cumberland Falls Gift Shop this past Saturday, launching the park’s September celebration of Arts Appreciation Month.

As a Laurel County native and U.S. Army veteran, Deaton has written 11 novels that channel his own love and appreciation for Appalachian folklore.
