Two Indiana men pleaded guilty to chasing down four boys and opening fire , killing a 12-year-old and injuring a 14-year-old in a shooting prosecutors said "just tears at your heart."

Amarion Cutler, 19, on Monday pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated battery in the 2023 death of Josiah Small and injury to the other boy in South Bend. A judge sentenced him to 25 years behind bars with credit for the roughly two years he's already served. Prosecutors dropped the charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder as part of the plea agreement.

Nagomba White Jr., 22, last week pleaded guilty to murder and battery by means of a deadly weapon. He's slated to be sentenced on Oct. 3.
