The Air Jordan 9 lends itself well to a transformation as a boot, first borrowing details from Nike’s military Special Field Boot back in 2017. A restock then came in 2022, and now another chance at wearing winterized Air Jordans will soon come.
The Air Jordan 9 Boot NRG in “Black/Gum” and “Wheat” is set to make its return during the forthcoming holiday season. More durable leather and suede are applied to the upper, which is also reinforced with a water-resistant treatment and a gusseted
tongue. Metal eyelet rings offer additional durability, and the ground contact is made with a thicker and lugged outsole with a fine tread pattern that’s matched by detailing on the otherwise minimalist upper.
